“Infographic of the Day: How Men And Women Differ When Making Big Sales” by Cliff Kuang of Co.Design

Infographics are the new rage. I like them becasue they tell a story quickly without having to read all the data…but on the same token, they make the reader want to read the data…good use of balancing concepts with graphic illustrations for a better impact.

The use of infogrpahics are key in PR and marketing,,,in fact many press releases today are being released as just infographics. However, I challenge the lack of content not attending the graphic…it makes the journalist have to write a story out of whole cloth without any lead or prep – and with their busy schedules, I am wary that this lessens one’s ability to garner enough press, whereas if the copy attendant with the infographic was there, it would give journalists a platform from which to write their own story off of.  More chances for third-party credibility…less for “chance!”
