If you’re interested in health, nutrition, fitness or just plain old good customer service and are in need of employment, or if you’re thinking about opening up your own wellness biz, you may be in luck.BalanceDiet, the diet arm of the Elements family of lifestyle brands, has expanded its retail presence in Tampa Bay and is looking to hire about 300 employees. In addition, the company is hiring support positions for its Tampa call center. There are also franchise opportunities for those wanting to go into business for themselves.“We’re hiring pretty heavily, says Elements Founder Chris Palumbo.
“We’re looking for the best of the best to join our team. We are an international brand with a strong presence in Tampa and Naples with 22 units. We’re renovating all of these units. And each unit has a team of five to seven people specializing in different things. Some fitness, some health, some customer service. And on top of that we have managers that float among stores,” says Palumbo. “The other thing we have that’s really cool is a whole call center that goes along with the weight loss program. We’re going to need 15 people to start at the call center.
“The whole mission of the brand is wellness,” continues Palumbo. “We offer full benefits for everyone who works for the company. There are lots of contests. It’s a very positive place to work. We’re an award-winning company and it’s due to having a really good team who believe in what they do.”
Palumbo says there are also opportunities to open a franchise. “One of its core values is ‘make it happen.’ The whole family is about empowerment. Which means different things to different people. So for a client it means to transform yourself. For someone stuck in a job they don’t like, it may be come and join us and be happy in your job. Or open a business for yourself and make it happen.”
