With the help of PR powerhouse Weber Shandwick, the brand launched its official social media presence two weeks ago in conjunction with a simple yet effective social undertaking. The numbers are in, and Aunt Jemima’s social unveiling looks promising. This considered, could this spell doom for digital creative agencies? Will the PR firms take the business of campaign execution away from them when it comes to all things social?

Only downfall is that one cannot watch the social media videos on Facebook unless your privacy setting is OFF https…that would be something for the PR firm to solve next time…too many people have commented on their frustration of not being able to see the video – and that is the reason why. So if you want to see it, go to your account settings and un-click “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible” so you can watch the video. But don’t forget to reset your account settings back to https afterward.
